Abortion: A Potential Election Pitfall for Republicans
Despite their varying positions, most Republican candidates expressed caution when discussing abortion restrictions, hinting at concerns about potential backlash in the 2024 general election. Trump, Haley, and DeSantis all avoided direct answers about specific abortion laws, instead emphasizing negotiation, consensus, and compassion.
Foreign Policy: A Divisive Issue within the GOP
The United States’ role in Ukraine’s war against Russia has emerged as a significant point of contention within the GOP.
